A truly new concept of Smart Safety Helmets

Shouldn’t smart safety helmets incorporate technology that focuses on the safety of workers?

As workers can always be exposed to a variety of risks, monitoring their health will be paramount. If a worker falls down due to health problems, it is also important for someone else to recognize it quickly and take emergency measures.

Han Hyung-Seob, CEO of HHS Co., Ltd. in Korea, has developed this concept of helmet, which is on sale. The brain wave sensor, pulse sensor, and acceleration sensor that can detect brain waves coming from the human head are made into a single module so that it can be mounted as a clip on any type of helmet.

Furthermore, the receiver server, calculation server (AI algorithm for signal analysis), and web server (for safety manager control system) have been produced and operated by Mr.Han.

If an operator wearing a smart helmet is exposed to dangerous gas that is colorless and odorless, AI algorithm analyzes the operator’s brain waves and pulse signals on the server and informs the safety manager of the central control system, it will urgently prevent the operator’s loss and image. Exposure to heat or cold can be also detected abnormalities in the operator’s body as a brainwave signal.

In addition, if a worker wearing a smart safety helmet faints due to dizziness in a place where people around him are not seen, AI algorithms analyze the change in acceleration signal detected by the acceleration sensor on the server and inform the safety manager for emergency measures. And through this smart safety helmet, access control, absenteeism and health care are available for many workers. If necessary, it is also possible to add motion sensors, gas sensors, GPS sensors, RFID sensors, etc. Which one do you think is a real Smart Safety Helmet?
