Macy’s brought in platinum- selling hip-hop group, Far East Movement (FM), in recognition of the honorary contributions made by Asian-Pacific Americans. Macy’s celebrated Asian- Pacific American Heritage Month in May at Macy’s locations throughout the United States. The performances by FM were to highlight the impact that Asian-Pacific Americans made on influencing American culture and music. International Secret Agents (ISA) musical artists that are unique to each local market also performed alongside FM. “Asian-Pacific Americans have had an extraordinary impact on our nation, music and culture. We were proud to partner with Far East Movement to celebrate these achievements with our Asian-Pacific American Heritage month events nationwide,” said Dineen Garcia, Macy’s Vice President of Diversity Strategies. |
