There is always a market for better cosmetics; even high-end makeup companies are jumping on the bandwagon. There is a paucity of information on the ingredients of many cosmetics and most importantly, you must know how your products or services can address customer needs. Cosmetics ingredients come from a variety of sources but unlike the ingredients of food, they are often not considered by most consumers. Cosmetics often use vibrant colors that are derived from a wide variety of sources, ranging from crushed insects to rust. Cosmetics in a variety of forms date back to early civilizations, with the need to improve one’s personal appearance being an important factor in attracting a mate.
Over the years, the ingredients have changed dramatically as we discovered how to manufacture our own scents and cosmetic formulas. The realization of the dangers of many common ingredients also greatly affected the growing industry. Ancient Egyptian aristocracy made use of minerals to provide color and definition to their facial features. During the era of the Greek Empire, it was common to use face paints while the Romans indulged in baths containing oil-based perfume. However, a South Korean cosmetics company, Blue tree & Co, has a product called the ‘Pearl Skin Care Collection’ and the company’s prominent and effective products make the everyday facial care more enjoyable to consumers. Their facial creams have on average six to eight different types of plant oils and extracts found to enhance the natural radiance of one’s skin. All of their products are free from parabens, silicone, paraffin and aluminum and is not tested on animals. In its collection, everyone can find that best suits their skin type for any products such as facial cleanser, moisturizer and anti-wrinkle products.
