“I am sorry,” Ko told the press gathered at the site. “I’ve had a time of self-examination over two and a half years. The prison time was difficult, but I have learned many lessons that I would have never learned in other places. From now on, I will live carefully and correctly. I am sorry again to disappoint everyone.”
The former member of popular ’90s band Roo’ra was arrested in 2013 for raping three female teenagers over four times from July 2012 to Dec. 2012 at his home and in his car.
Ko will have to wear an electronic ankle monitor for three years, becoming the first celebrity to wear the device here. In addition, his personal information will be open to the public for five years.
