Yuri, a member of K-pop group Girls’ Generation, has been dating baseball player Oh Seung-hwan for six months, SM Entertainment confirmed Monday.
“Yuri and Oh have developed romantic feelings for each other since they first met at a social gathering late last year,” the agency said through a press release.
The confirmation came after a local weekly newspaper reported earlier in the day that Yuri, 24, and Oh, 32, had been romantically involved since November.

According to the media outlet, the pair have had dates in Korea and Japan, mostly accompanied by mutual friends.
Yuri stayed in Japan to hang out with Oh, who is currently based in Osaka, after wrapping up her recording schedule with Girls’ Generation in March. She returned to Korea five days after her bandmates.
Yuri is the latest addition to Girls’ Generation members ― along with Yoona, Sooyoung, Taeyeon and Tiffany ― who have gone public with their relationships.
The eight-member group leader Taeyeon is dating EXO member Baekhyun, while Yoona is in a relationship with singer-turned-actor Lee Seung-gi. Tiffany is romantically involved with 2PM member Nichkhun.
Oh, a celebrated athlete, debuted with Korean baseball team Samsung Lions in 2005 and joined the Hanshin Tigers of Japan’s professional baseball league in 2013.
Girls’ Generation has been promoting its latest album “Catch Me If You Can,” released on April 10, in Korea and Japan.
