According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) on the 3rd, Zhou Chuna, from Zhejiang Province, China, has undergone plastic surgery more than 100 times at a cost of 4 million yuan (about 700,000 dollars) from the age of 13 until recently. He has suffered from anxiety and depression about his appearance since childhood, and he was particularly stressed by his family, relatives and friends comparing her and her mother’s beauty.
In addition, as he attended an international school in Shanghai, he became more obsessed with plastic surgery due to his increased inferiority complex about his appearance.
“I dropped out of school to get surgery,” she said. “I had almost all plastic surgery I could think of, including nose and bone-cutting surgery.” “The doctor told me that I could not perform any more surgery because I underwent cosmetic surgery 10 times, but I didn’t follow suit,” she said. “After cosmetic surgery too often, I had to lie in bed for 15 days and receive only fluid.” She also said, “I changed my ID four times a year.” Having undergone cosmetic surgery more than 100 times until recently, she is known to be suffering serious side effects such as memory and vision loss as she was repeatedly given huge anesthetics every time she underwent surgery. In addition, she ignored the doctor’s order to refrain from wearing contact lenses for at least a month after surgery, and wore dark eye makeup while wearing lenses, which greatly reduced her eyesight. A cosmetic surgeon in Shanghai warned, “If Zhuhana undergoes cosmetic surgery anymore, it could cause many side effects such as muscle spasms, facial nerve failure, and brain damage caused by abuse of anesthetics.” Now my parents have stopped supporting plastic surgery, and when people ask me if I’m a daughter, I don’t want to admit it, Zhou Chuna said. “Now I’ll never be on the operating table again.”
