Founded in 1975, it is a French liquor company. Starting with the production of Pernod, the Apsant and Pastis products, it acquired several liquor industries, now becoming the seventh largest liquor company in the world.A type of whisky that accounts for most of the world’s whisky market. Johnny Walker, Valentine, Chivas Regal, and Royal Salute, who may not know whiskey well, are all blended whisky.Blended whisky is usually referred to as Scotch whisky, but in countries where whisky is produced, it is usually produced together. Canadian whiskey is almost entirely blended and is also popular in countries such as Japan and Taiwan. It is often contrasted with single malt whisky, but strictly speaking, the counterpoint of single malt is single grain whisky, and blended is a kind of compromise.
Scotch whisky is divided into five categories according to the regulations of the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA).
Single malt whisky: only whisky with malt ingredients from one distillery.Blended malt whisky: a blend of malt-based whisky alone.Blended Whiskey: A mix of whisky from malt and whisky from other ingredients.Blended Grain Whiskey: a blend of whisky from whole grain ingredients other than malt.
Single Grain Whiskey: Whisky from only malt and grain ingredients from one distillery.Korea’s high-end whiskey market is exploding. It is a home drinking culture that has been established during the Corona period, and the consumer base has grown up to the MZ generation. Imports in the first half of this year are 16,000 tons, up 50% from last year. It’s the largest ever. Ultra-high-priced whiskey is also sold like hot cakes. Six limited-edition bottles of “Valentine 40 Years,” which cost $20,000 per bottle, were sold out as soon as they were released. The company that sells Valentine is Pernorica. It is a multinational company based in France. We sell Valentine’s, Chivas Regal, Royal Salute, and Glenlivet. They are all popular brands in Korea. It was also selected as one of the 1,500 most respected global companies in the world by Fortune in the United States. In mainland France, we were in the top 15 percent of top employers.
These companies are causing disputes with workers in Korea. The factors include verbal abuse and altercations by the representative of the Korean corporation.
However, Korean workers are also responding with revelations with media broadcasts. Did the corporate representative really verbally abuse and ignore Korean workers?Do workers want collective selfish treatment? Positive and negative factors seem to be at odds.In 2011, he was imposed an additional 10 billion won tax for tax evasion. Last year, the Fair Trade Commission (FTC) was caught giving illegal rebates of over $60 million over a decade to entertainment establishments. (This is seen as a practice almost exclusively practiced by liquor companies in Korea.)
Recently, the labor union has sued and is being investigated for various allegations of unfair labor practices. After the rapid economic growth, Korea is implementing a policy to protect the human rights and rights of workers considerably. It is not easy to fire, and if you fire, you can easily obtain various benefits such as unemployment benefits from reporting to the Ministry of Labor. It is not an easy condition for employers or business owners.
