The movie ‘To Jinri’ (Director Jung Yoon-seok) will be released on Netflix on the 13th.

‘To Jinri’ is a feature documentary film that depicts various daily worries and thoughts that Sully and 25th Choi Jin-ri felt at that time as an actor and artist in the form of an interview. One of the special episodes of ‘Persona: Sully’ was directed by Jung Yoon-seok, director of ‘Nonfiction Diary’ and ‘Night Island Sea of Seoul Fire Sea’.

The main character’s real name, Truth, and the movie ‘To Truth’ for many truths at the same time, is inspired by ‘Dorothy’, one of Sully’s last work ‘Goblin’. The main character’s life is animated as a fairy tale of Dorothy and dog Toto, who embark on an unknown journey in the classic American fairy tale ‘The Great Wizard Oz’.

In addition, the movie has a variety of picture diary of the main character, music videos, and Instagram posts that have not been released to the public. Through the materials left by Choi Jin-ri (Sally), the reflectional appearance of looking back on imagination, dreams, and life as an artist and the warm gaze of the weak in our society are also major appreciation points.

At the GV of the Busan International Film Festival, director Jung Yoon-seok said of Choi Jin-ri (Sali) as “a thoughtful person”. Choi Jin-ri (Sulli), who came out as an interviewer in the movie, reflects on her thoughts and carefully refines her words. This is a record of an interview conducted by Choi Jin-ri (Selly) in 2019, and through the appearance of the main character who shows a serious and caring attitude, you will learn about her freedom as an artist and Choi Jin-ri’s life and human aspect that was unknown to the public.

Previously, ‘To the truth’, which was invited to the wide-angle section documentary showcase section of the 28th Busan International Film Festival and was unveiled as a world premiere, received favorable reviews from foreign media such as “Provocative Portrait” (UPI) and “I have never seen such a heartbreaking and intense interview” (AFP).
