In the newly introduced “Favorite K-pop Artists” category, five teams were named: BTS, Black Pink, Seventeen, Tomorrow by Together, and Twice. In particular, BTS won the ‘Artist of the Year’ category, which can be regarded as the AMA’s best award last year. At this year’s AMA, he was the only K-pop artist to receive two nominations. BTS is also nominated for “Favorite Pop Duo (Group)” along with “Favorite K-pop Artist” and competes with Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Moneskin, and OneRepublic.
Adele, Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Drake, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd will compete fiercely for the trophy in the AMA ‘Artist of the Year’ category.
