Come out this weekend to celebrate the Asian Festival at the 487 acre Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona. The LA County Fair opened on August 30th and will close this weekend, the 29th of September. The LA County Fair ran for 5 weekends and with the Harvest Moon Festival time of the year, it will highlight Asian culture and encourages Asians to come to the fair to enjoy the experience they offer. Paired with underwater and animal adventures that is said to even rival San Diego, animation workshops and Enterprise exhibitions straight from Hollywood, wine tasting experiences from Napa Valley, rides, entertainment games and delicious carnival foods, the LA County Fair will have several new food vendors, entertainers and merchandise vendors at the Asian American Expo.

This weekend is also the last chance to experience this year’s newest attraction such as the Beneath The Sea: An Underwater Adventure, Pencils 2 Pixels, and the all-new Star Trek exhibition. Fair attendees will have a chance to see playful sea lions dance, sing, and even get lucky enough to get up close and personal with these rescued sea lions. For those who are feeling for more of an adventure, they can check out The Live Shark Encounter and touch stingrays. Pencils 2 Pixels is a collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks, Song Pictures Animation and the Chuck Jones Estates where it provides the opportunity to learn the secrets behind the scenes of animated films. Fair attendees will be guided by on-site instructors on a step-bystep instruction on creating hand-drawn characters. At Pencils 2 Pixels, you will also be able to see the production process of your favorite Disney, DreamWorks or Sony animations. Trekkies will have a chance to ‘live long and prosper’ as they experience the U.S.S. Enterprise at the Star Trek Exhibition. Throughout this exhibition, they will able to view authentic props, costumes, and even have a chance to set foot on a part of the original Star Trek TV show’s set. Come out this weekend to the LA County Fair to celebrate diverse cultures and to experience the various fair entertainments and carnival delicacies provided.
