Why should you attend this year’s LA Korean Festival this weekend?.

In honor of the Los Angeles Korean Festival’s 40th year, the Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation (LAKFF) has many special events and exciting performances lined up throughout this
4-day event as it is currently running from Thursday, September 26th until Sunday, September 27th. Held at the Seoul International Park, this event specifically caters to the Los Angeles community and surrounding neighbors as well as it provides great benefits to people of all age and ethnicity.

The LAKFF was first founded in 1973 by the leaders of the early KoreanAmerican community and they formed the organization in order to keep the rich, Korean culture alive throughout the generations. The non-profit organization’s goal is to celebrate the racial diversity through the sharing of Korean culture to the surrounding community, which includes Korean-American immigrants and non-Koreans. The festival itself provides this great opportunity to promote an understanding and connection amongst the numerous ethnic groups that reside in the Los Angeles community. This year’s theme for the festival is “Embracing Diversity for a Better Tomorrow” and Joo Hyun Chung, president of the LAKFF, explained and shared the hopes of how the theme will reflect upon the community through the festival. “In honor of celebrating the 40th year of this festival, we have been providing a gateway for various ethnicities and generations in the community, in which they can introduce and experience mutual cultures. They also have the opportunity to understand and communicate with each other without any prejudices or barriers.”, Chung expressed

There will be different types of booths where you can view different car models, learn more about a specific product, purchase gifts, receive free samples, purchase delicious food and drinks, win prizes, and much more. The Los Angeles Korean Festival is one event you don’t want to miss to be enriched in Korean culture!
