Aronia is a food that not many have probably heard of before, but it contains anthocyanins, which makes Aronia itself a health functional food. In actuality, Aronia is a European medicinal plant that aids us in more ways than one. Researchers believe that it can act as an anticancer adjuvant by conducting more tests in the near future. However, for now, it has been popularized by JBKLAB as herbal medicine to help treat different ailments. The plant itself acts as a powerful antioxidant that was first introduced to Asia in 2002. Through more thorough research, JBKLAB managed to release various health products and health functional foods utilizing Aronia.
The products included in JBKLAB’s line are Heartberry Black stick and bottle (contains 100% of Aronia concentration) and the Heartberry tablet. Additionally, they also have the C3G Pill, the ABF Pill, and the C3G Powder.
Aronia’s main health component is anthocyanin, which is a representative antioxidant contained in black bean skin, acai berries, and blueberries. Aronia itself is supposed to improve immunosuppression for cancer patients as well, especially while they are receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy. This will ultimately inhibit cancer cells. Aronia has also been proven to aid in cancer research because it prevents and suppresses cancer cell growth. It can also prevent chemotherapy side effects. Aronia also prevents brain cell damage and improves the signal transduction system of cerebral nerves.
JBKLAB as a company is mainly responsible for establishing a stable market for Aronia foods and health functional foods. They are also working on constructing a healthy business model through drug development investments. By doing so, they will also be launching their anticancer health functional foods to pioneer the overseas market as well as their domestic market. JBKLAB plans to collaborate with different hospitals so Aronia or other anticancer drugs can be utilized in medical treatment.
