The coolest place for the hottest holiday happenings, Holiday Ice Rink in Pershing Square kicks off its amazing 18th season for ice skating under the sun and stars in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The rink will be open every day starting Thursday, November 12, 2015 through Monday, January 18, 2016.
Encircled by towering skyscrapers, the stunning pop-up icescape transforms Pershing Square into a winter wonderland with a host of free community and special events, along with a low skate admission price. The yuletide traditions continue with DJ Thursday nights, skating exhibitions, Single in the City Skate night, a Snoopy on Ice Showcase, the Winter Holiday Festival and the Polar Bear Skate, among many others.
The rink is easily accessible by car, bus or Metro at the Pershing Square stop. A partnership with Metro allows riders to receive a $1 skating session discount by showing their Metro transit receipt/pass. There is also convenient underground parking. General admission is $9. Figure skate and hockey skate rental is $4. Group rates and private party options are also available. Skate session admission tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the rink.
