Busan City features on the main website of UNESCO’s international network of “creative cities.”
Busan joined the UNESCO network last December, which is comprised of 69 cities from 32 countries worldwide emphasizing creativity as a method for sustainable urban development.
The international network is divided into subfields of film, literature, music, crafts and design. Busan joined as Asia’s first film-designated creative city.

The 20th BIFF will take place this year from Oct. 1-10.
