Transport drones capable of carrying more than 1 ton of cargo in China have completed runway trials

Chinese aircraft developer AEROSPACE CHUAV announced on the 20th that it conducted a full-load runway test of an unmanned transport aircraft CH-YH1000 at Zhanghe Airport in Jingman City, central China’s Hubei Province, to ensure that all systems operate smoothly.

The unmanned aerial vehicle with a load of 1000 kg can be used for logistics, emergency rescue, and munitions supply. The cargo capacity is at least 1000 kg, the maximum takeoff weight is 2300 kg, and the mission durability is more than 10 hours.

It is a multi-purpose mid-range transport drone equipped with military and civilian transportation capabilities and weapons transportation capabilities, and has the characteristic of taking off and landing at a very short distance even in harsh conditions. Experts say that it has the applicability to carry special payloads in addition to transportation missions.

The drone was first unveiled at the “Air Show China 2024” held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province in November last year. The manufacturer will conduct its first flight test after further optimization and testing, according to the media.
