“There are many people who skip breakfast because of intermittent fasting, which is not desirable,” said Emily Leaming, a nutrition professor at King’s College London.
People who do not eat breakfast made this choice to reduce overall calorie intake and improve metabolic health, but it is difficult to see the effect.
Regarding the claim that breakfast fasting leads to weight loss, Dr. Li Ming said, “There are studies that reverse this,” adding, “The traditional method of emphasizing breakfast was correct.”
Since digestion deteriorates in the evening, it is better to eat in the morning and stop eating a day earlier before dinner.
He also mentioned the side effects of skipping breakfast. “If you don’t eat breakfast, you tend to eat more snacks and eat unhealthy snacks in the evening,” he said.
He also stressed that it is harmful to health. “We need to get away with simply reducing calories,” Li said. “People who skip breakfast tend to lack fiber, essential minerals, and vitamins.”
He also emphasized that you are more likely to suffer from depression or stress when you do not have breakfast.
Dr. Li Ming said, “If you are a parent, would you send your child to school without giving breakfast?” and added, “But why don’t you eat breakfast when you become an adult?”
“It will help you lose weight if you don’t skip breakfast and start your day with foods rich in fiber and protein,” he said.
