Suzy Wiles Named First Female White House Chief of Staff In U.S. History

Suzy Wiles, co-chairman of the election committee, has been appointed as Trump’s second White House chief of staff. She is the first female White House chief of staff in U.S. history.

According to CNN, Trump issued a statement on the 7th (local time) to announce the nomination of his chief of staff, saying, “Wiles has helped me achieve the greatest political victory in American history.”

Wiles joined then-candidate Trump in 2016 and 2020 as well as this presidential election. He is known to have led the campaign in Florida in 2016 and exercised authority beyond the camp manager in 2020.

Since he worked as a schedule manager for the Republican presidential candidate Ronald Reagan’s campaign in 1980, he has worked for the Republican Party and served as a strategist. During this presidential campaign, he reportedly exerted enormous influence in the overall campaign, including not only the schedule but also the budget and organization.

Trump’s strong trust in him was also revealed in his victory declaration on the 6th. During his speech, Trump himself beckoned Chairman Wiles and called him out to the podium, and repeatedly encouraged him to make public remarks and expressed his affection.

The word Trump used to refer to him was “Ice Baby.” His nickname reflects Wiles’ silver hair and cool-headed image. After refusing to make public remarks, Trump praised him, saying, “He is not the person to be behind the scenes.”

Based on his contribution to leading the camp and trust that President-elect Trump has shown without hesitation, he has been considered a strong candidate for chief of staff at the White House since the presidential election. In fact, he is expected to be deeply involved in various career paths for the second Trump term.

“Suzy is tough, smart, innovative, and universally respected and respected,” Trump said on the day, explaining the reason for the nomination, saying, “We will make constant efforts to make America Great Again (MAGA).”
