The ” Euthanasia Capsule,” which leads to death painlessly within seconds when a person who wants euthanasia enters and presses a button, will be used for the first time in Switzerland within this month.
The death capsule is called Sarco and is also called the “Tesla of Euthanasia” because it looks like it came from a science-fiction movie. The developing company, Exit Switzerland’s website, has a picture of the capsule and the phrase “Coming Soon,” drawing attention from many people.
The inventor of the capsule was Dr. Philip Nischke, who reported on June 10 that he had written on an online forum that Sarco’s deployment in Switzerland was expected ‘in the next few weeks’. Dr. Nischke is an euthanasia advocate and is also called Dr. Death. The capsule was first unveiled to the world in 2017, when the switch is pressed, nitrogen gas is released from the capsule, which can cause unconsciousness and death within seconds.
Dr. Nishke claims that his invention allows users to end their lives quickly and painlessly in a peaceful manner. According to him, a person who wants to euthanize is asked three questions and verbally answered after being in a capsule. The questions are ‘Who are you’, ‘Where are you’, and ‘Do you know what happens when you press the button?’ The software turns on the button so that the person who wants to euthanize can press the button on their own.
Opponents of the machine have voiced concern, arguing that “many people may regard suicide as trivial and even glorify it.”
