“I can’t conclude that it’s an anomaly caused by drugs,” a lawyer from a drug investigation said of allegations that singer G-DRAGON (real name Kwon Ji-yong)’s unique gesture was caused by drugs in online communities.
On the 7th, Attorney Kim Hee-jun mentioned G-Dragon, who first appeared to be investigated by the police on the 6th in an interview with ‘YTN News Rider’.
Attorney Kim said, “I only took drugs like that, I didn’t, I can’t say. Because it could be your own unique behavior or gesture,” he said.
He also said, “drug offenders don’t have unusual gestures.”
Kim said, “Of course, drugs are divided into karma (pilophone) and down (tomp). If you do Down-affiliated drugs, there will be a situation where people sink, and if you do-affiliate drugs, you will do the opposite,” he explained.
“However, it seems difficult to necessarily see any gesture or behavior as an ‘abnormal phenomenon when drug is taken,'” he continued.
The drug investigation community of the Incheon National Police Agency recently applied for a search and seizure of G-Dragon’s communication history by applying drug charges under the drug management law to the prosecution. However, on 31 last month, the court dismissed the warrant on the grounds of “lack of criminal facts”.
Regarding this, lawyer Kim said, “The dismissal of the communication warrant is very unusual. If possible, if you charge, they will issue almost everything. It appears that they filed a communications warrant to secure the call, but even the court did not issue it, saying it was a lack of calling.”
“This is seen as a very vague situation in terms of specificity or credibility,” he said.
Regarding G-Dragon’s Instagram post of ‘Sapil Guijeong’ after the police investigation, he speculated that “the allegations are not materialized now, and from Kwon Ji-yong’s point of view, he seems to be curious about the facts of the allegations. “Meanwhile, on the 6th, G-Dragon volunteered to appear as a suspect at the Nonhyeon Police Station in Namdong-gu, Incheon, where the Incheon National Police Agency has a drug crime investigation team, and was investigated for about 4 hours. Police will request the National Institute of Forensic Science to carefully identify the urine and hair collected to accurately determine whether G-Dragon has been drugged or not.
