Google to release ‘AI Secretary’ with Assistant with Bard soon

Google will soon release a smarter “AI secretary” equipped with an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that asks and answers like a human.

Google announced on the 4th (local time) that it will hold a new product announcement event called Made by Google in Manhattan, New York, and launch Assistant with Bard that utilizes generative AI.

‘Assistant with Bard’ combines its AI assistant, Google Assistant, with AI chatbot Bard, a rival to the generative AI ChatGPT.

Google explained that the smarter AI assistant will provide personalized help to users, such as making travel plans, finding details in their email inboxes, and making grocery lists.

It also added that it is integrated with existing apps such as Gmail) and Google Docs on mobile devices like Bard in web browsers to help find and summarize information.

In particular, this AI assistant can communicate through voice or images as well as text.

Google will first test ‘Assistant with Bard’ on some initial subjects and release it to the public on mobile within a few months.

As a result, competition with Amazon’s AI assistant ‘Alexa’ with generative functions, ChatGPT, which can be talked by voice, and Apple’s AI service ‘Siri’ is expected to intensify.

Generative AI is building a more intuitive, intelligent and personalized digital assistant, Google Vice President said.
