South Korea’s mobile carriers said Friday they will start selling the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 from early next month, following their Seoul debut in October.
The latest tablet series by Apple will be available for purchase at retail stores from Dec. 3, SK Telecom and KT Corp. said in a press release.
The release comes about a month after the tablets were first unveiled in South Korea on Oct. 31.
A few thousand of them will be available for prepurchase, starting from Friday, until the stock runs out, the mobile carriers added.
The ultralight iPad Air 2 is priced at 732,600 won ($663), and the more portable iPad Mini 3 will be sold for 634,700 won, based on the 16-gigabyte models.
They are also available for direct purchase via the mobile carriers’ official online stores, telecom companies said. (Yonhap)
