Busan Techno Park – China Zhejiang Maritime University Signs MOU to Discover International Joint R&D

 On the 30th, Busan Techno Park signed a business agreement with China Zhejiang Maritime University Ship and Shipping University at the Haeundae Centum Hotel CACAOTREE to discover international joint R&D in the marine ICT industry.  Through a business agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate with each other information exchange related to the marine ICT industry and establish a network to discover international joint R&D. Professor Chen Chao of China Zhejiang Maritime University and Director of Policy Planning at Busan Techno Park attended the business agreement ceremony. China Zhejiang Maritime University is located close to Ningbo Port in Zhejiang Province, China, and has a network with nearby shipbuilding and marine companies. In addition, as research for digital transformation related to shipbuilding and marine is actively conducted, synergy effects are expected when exchanging related to the Busan marine ICT industry. Busan Techno Park aims to be reborn as a global hub by fostering marine ICT companies in the Busan National Innovation Convergence Complex and carrying out regional innovation cluster development projects. It is carrying out programs such as network, corporate attraction, manpower training, commercialization support, and global linkage in the Busan National Innovation Convergence Complex. This business agreement was carried out as part of the establishment of an overseas cooperation base. 

  “We hope that this business agreement will lead to the discovery of international joint R&D between Busan and Chinese companies, and we will continue to exchange and cooperate with China Zhejiang Maritime University,” said Kim, head of the policy planning team at Busan Techno Park. He also said, “We expect Busan marine ICT companies to expand their entry into the Chinese market, and Busan Techno Park will spare no support to help Busan National Innovation Convergence Complex become a global center of the marine ICT industry.”
