The Seoul Business Agency (SBA, CEO Kim Hyun-woo), a small and medium-sized enterprise support organization that creates competitiveness in Seoul, said it is setting and promoting “accompanying the weak” using the institution’s expertise as its main direction
The Seoul Business Agency (SBA), a leading economic support organization in Seoul, has completed social responsibilities of public institutions and achieved social value creation by planning and operating accompanying programs with the weak based on its expertise in the media content industry over the past 20 years. As part of this, we are conducting a Going-on Studio program with Olympus Korea and the Korea Cancer Association to provide cancer experienced people with opportunities to communicate with society using one-person media and restore self-esteem, and support voice dubbing and mixing for works selected for the Seoul Barrier Free Film Festival.
<Your life goes on. Going-on Studio, a program for cancer experienced people, was designed to change the social perception of cancer experienced people and support their return to society based on one-person media content.
To enhance the effectiveness of education, “Going-on Studio” is an introductory course necessary for content production and channel operation, including YouTube channel opening, video shooting and editing, content upload, and channel direction setting
Since 2021, Going-on Studio has produced educational content for cancer experienced people, not just one-time education, opened a YouTube channel “Going On” so that anyone as well as trainees can easily listen to one-person media education, and distributed a total of 17 creator education contents.
From beginner education contents such as “creating YouTube channel/brand accounts” and “creating YouTube channel art,” to useful education contents for cancer experienced people to grow into one-person media creators, such as “strategically uploading videos” and “using YouTube studios 120%.”
Going-on Studio, which marks its third year this year, has selected five teams of creators with excellent cancer experience and is intensively fostering them. It is not simply a creator training in the beginner course, but supports channel growth and allows content to be produced in a stable environment. It also supports expanding profit opportunities such as video production twice a month through the same role as an ambassador for creators with cancer experience.
The “Going-on Studio” program currently fosters 145 creators with cumulative cancer experience, and 21 outstanding creators among trainees are continuously supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency by giving them membership in the one-person media creator group “Creative Force.”
<Expanding the environment for enjoying content by the underprivileged through cooperation in barrier-free film production>
Through an agreement with the Barrier Free Film Committee in 2021, the Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency supports social contribution content production for the underprivileged and the socially disadvantaged, provides post-production services through the SBA Media Content Center, spreads awareness of the disabled’s cultural welfare rights, and contributes to the need for barrier-free film production.
Barrier-free movie is a movie that includes voice commentary that explains the screen and barrier-free subtitles that tell the speaker, lines, music, and sound information in existing movies so that everyone, including the underprivileged, can enjoy it together.
The Seoul Industry Promotion Agency will be provided with the title of a sponsor of the Seoul Barrier Free Film Festival to produce social contribution contents by supporting video and sound post-production services such as voice actor dubbing for ▲ voice commentary and DCP for mixing ▲ screenplay.
At the 94th Academy Awards, 14 works were produced, including support for barrier-free short films such as Shan Heather’s film “CODA” and Jeon In-hwan’s “Sound Search,” and 20 barrier-free video production experts were operated in cooperation with the barrier-free film committee. Accordingly, the Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency received a plaque of appreciation at the 11th Seoul Barrier Free Film Festival.
Kim Hyun-woo, CEO of the Seoul Business Agency, said, “In addition to the operation of Going-on Studio and Barrier Free Film, we are discovering and promoting various content support projects for the weak, such as fostering single-person media creators.
