According to CNBC’s report on the 19th (local time), Hilton signed the contract with the U.S. space company Voyager Space.
Under the deal, Hilton will be responsible for designing suites, a living space for astronauts arriving at the commercial space station “Star Lab.”
Nanorax, a subsidiary of Voyager Space, is currently developing StarLab with Lockheed Martin. The two companies aim to operate the first Star Lab on Earth’s low orbit as early as 2027.
Star Lab is one of the four commercial space stations being promoted under NASA’s plan.
NASA announced plans to operate the current International Space Station (ISS) by the end of 2030 and then scrap it and replace it with a private space station.
As a result, NASA has signed a contract to build a space station with “Blue Origin,” a space startup “Axium Space,” and a defense company “Nostalgic Grumman,” led by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, in addition to Voyager Space.
