Recently, an increasing number of Japanese companies are actively applying and attempting Korean companies’ technologies and products because they believe they are helpful to their businesses. Let’s take a closer look at what Japanese companies are trying to do despite the serious situation of COVID-19.
At Nexty, a Global Trading Company under TOYOTA Group, a new item needs to be discovered due to its business characteristics since it was established in 2019 by the Global Trading Company, Toyota Tsusho Co., Ltd. Recently, the LA Times Asia Journal introduced Korean companies to the review process to Nexty and the trading company is considering what strategies and businesses they will operate in their businesses.
Nexty is also conducting an internal review of five Korean companies (Infomining, GB Soft, HHS, AI Mon and STX Bio), and is trying to do business with their partners in areas that do not overlap with their brother company Elmatec. Among Korean companies, Infomining created a system that analyzes the biological signals of ECG, blood pressure, blood sugar, oxygen saturation, pulse, and body temperature in an artificial intelligence server and informs Smartphones. GB Soft is a company that analyzes light coming through cameras from an artificial intelligence server and creates a solution that informs biological signals of blood pressure, oxygen saturation, pulse, and body temperature. In addition, HHS created an artificial intelligence solution that analyzes workers’ brain waves, pulses, and acceleration through a small device that attaches to the safety helmet of workers working in the workplace. AI Mon created a system in which an artificial intelligence server analyzes oxygen saturation, pulse, skin temperature, fall detection, and crying detection through the ankle sensor of newborn babies and informs smartphones. In addition, STX Bio is a microbial manufacturer that has developed the microbiome for 80 years. It has diverse functions including water purification, plant growth promotion, composting livestock manure, curing concrete, and Nexty intends to apply water purification function to Toyota Tsusho plant waste.
Egami Corp. is attempting to market South Korean company GaonN’s high-protein Snack and Power products through Japanese influencers on Instagram and TikTok (such as Herman Dot, Liddell, Cross-Ring, and Hotel Sun). Nowadays, Egami Corp. is also trying to keep pace with this trend as businesses in Japan lead marketing through On-Line.
We, Asia Journal, are trying to take the lead in global exchange beyond the role of media by connecting products of Korea’s best small and medium-sized enterprises through Japanese conglomerates and distributors. Korean small and medium-sized companies are receiving intensive support for development and research under the government’s support policy. And through an organization called KOTRA, an export policy organization, they are given help from overseas exports. However, if you approach the media through the central government and the local government center, you could hear that it is difficult to do independent sales marketing overseas after the actual development research process. After considering what we can do and actually give help as a foreign media, Asia Journal focuses on introducing companies overseas, especially Japan and the U.S., and promotes them, connects the people in charge to each trading line, incubates and helps effectively.
Currently, we are actively introducing 5-6 Korean companies per month and communicating with Japanese conglomerates through distribution companies. For about 1-2 years, a reporter who has a long experience of Japanese companies reviews each of the company’s superiorities for small performance exports and transactions and sends them to Japanese dealers and receives questions for transactions and communicates with them.
